At Superior Screens, excellence and innovation are at the core of everything we do. We are thrilled to announce that our team’s hard work and dedication to the industry have once again been recognised at the 2022 Australian Fencing Awards. The awards ceremony held in Sydney was an evening filled with celebration, as industry professionals gathered to applaud outstanding projects and the remarkable individuals behind them.

Australian Fencing Awards - Hall of Fame 2022Ted Turnour Fencing Awards Legend

Among the evening’s highlights for us was the induction of Ted Turnour, one of Superior Screens' very own, into the Australian Fencing Awards 2022 Hall of Fame. In 2011, Ted Turnour and his business partner, Neville Sherlock, designed the innovative Clik'n'Fit® System, quick & easy to assemble, flat-packed, modular systems made with aluminium or COLORBOND® steel that clicks into place and can be used for fences, screens, gates, awnings and more. The Clik’n’Fit® Gate System stood out and went on to win at the The Queensland Government's 'What's Your Big Idea, Queensland?' Competition who recognised the Clik'n'Fit® Gate as "the easiest, quickest, and most economic gate in Australia." This award-winning product simplified the gate assembly and installation process, providing customers with a seamless, efficient solution.

With an impressive 22 years of experience in the industry, Ted was awarded as an ‘Industry Legend’. The Hall of Fame recognises individuals who have made significant, long-term contributions to the industry. Ted's expertise and unwavering commitment have undoubtedly left a mark on the fencing industry. This is the second year in a row that a member of Superior Screens was honoured at the awards after our CEO, Rita Turnour was inducted into the 2021 Australian Fencing Awards Hall of Fame in the Women’s Category, an important recognition for a male dominated industry.

Celebrating Continued Success

Another standout moment of the awards night for us was when Superior Screens was announced as the winner of the 2022 Innovation & Excellence Award in the Decorative Screens & Walls category for our commercial project. Our floor-to-ceiling, Decorative Aluminium Fins were installed in a scattered layout on each level of the building’s facade. These fins served both a decorative and functional purpose, offering shade and adding a unique design feature to the overall look.

2022 Fencing Award Project WinWe would like to express our gratitude to the Australian Fencing Awards for this recognition and to congratulate our fellow winners and industry legends who continue to better our industry. Lastly, we’d like to thank our exceptional team whose hard work and dedication made these achievements possible. Superior Screens will continue to innovate and deliver top-notch Australian made products and services to the fencing industry for many years to come.
