FAQ

Care & Maintenance

Regular washing and clearing of debris is the best way to maintain the longevity of your powder-coating. The frequency is dependant on environmental factors. If you live in rural or low polluted areas, every 12 months is ideal to wash down your product. The more corrosive and polluted the area like coastal and inner city locations require more frequent wash downs. Refer to the care guides below;

Interpon Powder Coat Maintenance Guide

Dulux Powder Coat Maintenance Guide

How to Clean to Clean My Product:

  • Wash the surface with a mild solution of ph neutral car wash or detergent in warm water.
  • Application should be with a sponge, soft cloth or soft bristle nylon brush, and should be gentle to prevent shiny spots.

How Often Should I Clean My Product?

  • In rural or normal urban environments, cleaning must take place at least every 12 months
  • In areas subject to high pollution such as industrial areas, geothermal environments or coastal environments then the cleaning frequency should be increased.
  • In particularly hazardous locations such as beach fronts, marine environments or areas of high industrial pollution the period between cleaning should be reduced to monthly.

Custom Colours

Things like locations, busy periods and powder-coating orders all alter estimated timelines. With custom powder-coating, we rely on 3rd parties for this service and are held to their individual timelines which can skew our estimations. We will keep you updated on any changes and the delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.

Choosing My Colour

The Finish

  • Matte
  • Satin
  • Glossy
  • Pearlescent

The Location

  • How dirty will my product likely get and will it show up more obviously on certain colours?
  • The lighting of the area and how that might change the over all colour.
  • Surrounding details in similar colours (sometimes trying to matching colours instead of complimenting them can make your colour look off or wrong)
