Yes. Custom colours can add an additional two weeks. For custom designs outside standard sizes, engineering certification may be required. When designing custom Awnings, more time is required beyond just fabrication due to safety requirements, testing, council and state legislation and rules like BASIX and other elements. We want your awnings to be safe and quality so we do require extra time to ensure this.

Assembly & Installation

Absolutely! Our window hoods are flat packed and designed for easy assembly and installation across Australia, making the process hassle-free for homeowners. Assembly and Installation instructions are provided.

Maintenance & Care

Maintaining a heritage window hood is a crucial aspect of preserving the aesthetic and functionality of your property. However, with our modern take on colonial awnings, you can enjoy the heritage aesthetic without the high maintenance requirements typically associated with it.

Unlike traditional timber awnings, our Window Hoods are designed to withstand the test of time with minimal upkeep. The use of durable materials such as COLORBOND® Steel flashing and powder-coated aluminium slats ensures that your window hood will not warp or require frequent painting like its timber counterparts.

To maintain the longevity and appearance of your heritage window hood, we recommend the following maintenance practices:

  1. Regular Cleaning: Gently clean the surfaces of your awning using a mild detergent and water solution. This will help remove any dirt or debris that may accumulate over time.
  2. Inspection: Periodically inspect your window hood for any signs of damage or wear. Look out for loose or missing screws, bent slats, or any other issues that may require attention.
